SBA: FTC Chair and SBA Administrator to Hold Fireside Chat on September 12th

Federal Regulations Promote Fair Competition and Aim to Benefit Small Businesses

Today, Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the voice in President Biden’s Cabinet for America’s 34 million small businesses, and Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan(Link is external), head of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), will meet for a fireside chat on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 1:30 ET. The two officials will discuss Administration initiatives to promote small business competitiveness through regulatory change and enforcement.  

Administrator Guzman and Chairwoman Khan’s discussion will occur immediately following the 2024 annual meeting of the SBA’s Regional Regulatory Fairness Board. The board consists of up to 50 volunteer small business owners serving as members across SBA’s 10 regions. Board members advise the SBA National Ombudsman on matters of federal regulatory concern to small businesses.
