FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska to supplement tribal recovery efforts in the areas affected by a severe storms and flooding from March 13 to April 1, 2019.
The President’s action makes federal funding available to the tribe on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work resulting from the severe storms and flooding.
Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures for the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska.
Constance C. Johnson-Cage has been named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected area. Johnson-Cage said additional designations may be made at a later date if warranted by the results of further damage assessments.
