We’re working to expand the reach of Your Money, Your Goals to more people across the country with the help of our new 2018 Your Money, Your Goals cohort organizations. In September, we invited organizations to submit applications to participate in our 2018 Your Money, Your Goals cohort. After reviewing the applications, we’ve selected 61 organizations to join the cohort. These organizations will receive training and technical assistance on how to use Your Money, Your Goals financial empowerment materials.
Your Money, Your Goals is a comprehensive suite of resources and training for financial empowerment. We work with organizations to build their capacity by integrating these important resources and services into their existing programs. Frontline staff and volunteers are often the first responders to consumers in crisis. They also have relationships and trust with the people they are serving at the local level.
The new cohort includes federal, state, and local government agencies; faith-based and social service organizations; organizations serving native communities, people with disabilities, and the reentry community; a credit union; and housing counseling and financial education organizations. The cohort also includes an organization that delivers free workplace financial education to companies across the U.S. The 2018 cohort will bring Your Money, Your Goals trainings to communities in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
