The U.S. Census Bureau released the newly designed cloud-based Census Geocoder web application that allows for faster and more efficient processing times. This redesign features a more stable environment with scalable and quicker returns, and an enhanced user experience on desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
The Census Geocoder is an address lookup tool that allows businesses, governments and other data users the ability to match addresses to geographic locations and entities with those addresses efficiently and accurately.
Initially released in 2013, the redesign modernizes the Geocoder, making it more responsive by using open-source software and by hosting it in the cloud. This latest update continues to provide users with an intuitive, efficient and accurate application for geocoding addresses and location coordinates.
