ABA: Foundation Launches Social Media Contest for Lights, Camera, Save! Finalists

Cast your vote for ‘Savers’ Choice’ by Feb.14

The American Bankers Association Foundation is hosting a social media contest to allow viewers nationwide to vote for their favorite Lights, Camera, Save! video entry.Lights, Camera, Save! is an annual video contest that encourages teen participants to produce a short film that communicates the importance of sound money management. This year, 158 banks hosted 174 contests in 45 states.

The “Savers’ Choice” social media contest features the top five finalists and will take place on ABA’s Facebook page through Wed., Feb. 14. The video-producer with the most votes will receive a GoPro camera to encourage future film making.

“This is our second year hosting the ‘Savers’ Choice’ as a part of Lights, Camera, Save!,” said Corey Carlisle, executive director of the ABA Foundation. “We want these creative, savings-themed videos to reach as many teens as possible and an effective way to do that is by meeting them where they are – on social media.”

The winner of the “Savers’ Choice” will also be in the running for Lights, Camera, Save! cash prizes up to $5,000, plus a scholarship for a teacher at their school to attend the 2018 Jump$tart National Educator Conference. Lights, Camera, Save! winners are named by a panel of expert judges.
